Another month has passed already! My "baby" is growing up right before our eyes. Brycen said just this morning when we were getting C dressed, "I can't remember when Corbin was a little baby". I have to agree with him. The little baby stage seems so far in the past already. We love watching him learn new things and we all get so excited when he says something new or does something new. It's so fun to watch him develop his own personality and see things through his eyes.
He has turned into quite the little lover and pats and hugs us all the time. It's SO sweet! He does it randomly which we think makes it even sweeter!
Ryan has been working outside every evening on the yard and so we've had lots of outside play time with this gorgeous weather we've been having. He is loving that. He loves playing in the dirt and with Bella and the cat (Bob). He loves to pet the animals. Brycen taught him to roll or scoot down the big hill behind the house since C kept falling trying to walk down it. It's hilarious to watch! He thinks he is big stuff and tries to keep up with whatever B is doing. Brycen is so good about helping him and playing with him. Brycen has his pedal tractor in the basement and C can't reach the pedals so Brycen pushes him on it instead. :) He has been enjoying riding the "tacter" with Daddy in the evenings too.
He is still very stubborn and can throw a fit with the best of them, but his attitude transformation from June until now just blows me away. I knew it was teeth (getting six all at once), but it was just a very challenging time. He is such a joy now! His fits now are normal ones that I expect. He does have a bad habit of throwing his sippy or a toy when he is mad about something. He has a temper for sure. We're working on it. If Brycen gets in trouble Corbin does NOT like that. He will pucker up and almost cry! He then comes over and shakes his finger at me and tells me, "no no no!". I love how they stick up for each other!
There is no doubt that we all three cater to Corbin... it worries me sometimes that we will make him rotten, but we waited so long for him and went through so much heartache before getting him here that it's really hard not to! We just eat him up! If I tell him no more snacks before supper, Brycen will beg for Corbin. If I tell him it's time to get out of the bath B will say, "Oh Mom just let him stay in 5 more minutes!". It's not a habit I should encourage, but honestly I think it's just sweet. B was so in love with Corbin when he was born and people would say, "ohhh Just wait until he's getting into his stuff and he won't like him so much anymore." So far this has held no truth to it and I LOVE telling those people who were such debbie downers that my boys are still just as bonded as ever.
Corbin's new favorite toy is the "popper". Aghh! He is driving us crazyyy with that thing! I remember when it was B's favorite toy that Ryan would hide it behind the tv stand and I would have to get it out for him. Well, his new hiding spot for the toy is the basement stairs. lol! It's true you can't hear yourself think when he has that toy out, but when it's just us at home I let him play with it all he wants :) Daddy's ears must be more sensitive! :)
His favorite book is the farm animal book and a counting book that has bears in it. He also thinks he has to "help" do Brycen's homework every night, lol! His favorite movie is (and actually the only thing he has shown any interest in watching) is the CareBears Make a Wish Movie! It got DVR'd by accident, but he LOVES it!
He discovered pretzels the weekend we went camping and I'd have to say they are his favorite snack now! I eat tortilla chips like crazy all the time and he always thinks he needs a "bite". I tear him off the tiniest little piece and he thinks he is big stuff. His favorite sippy cups used to be the soft topped ones, but he now won't drink out of those and prefers the hard topped ones (Gerber is the brand he prefers and we have tried them all, lol!). He also will refuse to eat off his own plate, but beg from one of us to eat off ours. I love his quirks :)
Corbin is finally staying up until around 7:30 (it had been between 6:30-7). Even though it's a small amount of extra time I'm enjoying it just the same!
Well, this is a rambling all over the place post, but I just wanted to post what was on my heart at 19 months :)

Love the update! Aedan's favorite toy is popper too!! I know what you mean about not being able to think when that toy is around. It is crazy loud!!
Corbin sounds like he is getting even sweeter with age. I love those surprise hugs and pats too. Glad your boys are best friends. Something tells me that they always will be. Have a great weekend!
I didn't realize how far behind I was on your blog! C looks so grown up and has lost the baby-look! I LOVE the picture of the two boys playing in the dirt while camping! So cute!
I love hearing about all his "quirks" and about him and B together! SO SWEET!!! And I'm glad, for your sake, that the extreme fit throwing is over! :)
He is def a sweetie! I remember sticking up for my sis all the time and we're only 19 months apart...I remember eating her green beans so she could leave the table (when dad wasn't looking :) ....haha. Siblings definitely have a special bond. Your boys are so lucky to have eachother as buddies for life!
I love hearing about how much they change but still stay as close as ever!!! Two sweet little boys you have on your hands!
