Corn & Fishing at Grammy Knepp's

Grammy Knepp, Phil (Ryan's dad), and Ryan, putting ice water on the corn after we cooked it. Ryan was being silly b/c he caught me taking the picture!

Marilyn (Ryan's mom) bagging up corn that we had just cut off the cob.

**I didn't get too many pictures of the corn process, b/c it keeps you too busy and your hands too sticky!! :)

These two love each other sooo much!

My sissy Sonya and I... I know this picture is blurry but you can see the baby pooch pretty well so I thought I'd post it anyway- plus I love my sissy! I know we look terrible and she might kill me if she sees this but we'd been putting away corn for five hours, so we're not at our best :)

We didn't have a very eventful weekend this wk/end. I was kind of glad for the rest! Friday evening we did absolutly nothing, just stayed at home! That was nice for a change! Saturday morning we got up bright and early and went to put corn away at Ryan's Grandma Knepp's house. I actually passed out that morning while we were cleaning corn... I had only had a pop tart for breakfast, I'm sure that's what the problem was! I ate a sandwich after I passed out and felt okay afterwards. I passed out quite a few times w/ Brycen, my blood sugar was always low and my blood pressure too... Anyway- that made for an eventful day and then everyone bugged me all day about how I felt! lol. It's nice to be so loved! haha. Anyway- we got all of our corn put away, it was a long day, but it will be worth it this winter when we get that yummy corn out! :) Yesterday we had church and then my birthday lunch at the in laws. My mother in law always fixes us whatever we want for lunch. I picked meat balls (it's meat loaf, except made into round balls) and taco salad! She fixed other stuff, but those were my two picks :) After that we went home and B and I took a nap while Ryan watched the Nascar race. We went swimming for a couple hours after we got up from our naps. Brycen loved that! Then some friends and their little baby girl Lilyan came over for pizza for supper. They stayed until after 10! I was exhausted, but it was a nice visit! I wasn't quite ready for Monday morning to be here this morning when the alarm went off!

Yesterday

So I hope yesterday's blog didn't come across as rude... I in no way meant for it to. I was having a very emotional day... and I was letting my "feelings" rule my day more than anything else, which isn't something I should of done. If you would like to read a great devotional on feelings please check out http://turnbowpuzzle.blogspot.com/ (Lori's) and her post called "Emotions". It's sort of long, but when I got online this morning to check out the blogs I regularly read I felt like she had written that entry just for me! It's something I'm sure we all struggle w/ at some point.

nosy people

What do you all do about nosy people? Most of the time I'm pretty much an open book. I don't really mind sharing details of my life w/ people, even difficult ones... b/c I feel God gives us experiences so that we may help others here on earth that might be going through similiar difficulties. So, normally "nosy" or otherwise, just curious people don't bother me in the least. There is a girl at my work though that is sooooooo nosy. It has began to drive me crazy! If I'm having a conversation w/ a co-worker she will butt in right in the middle, which obviously means she is eaves-dropping... Or if she hears news about a person, she has to run out and share it w/ everyone that she knows your/whoever's news. I guess w/ the baby this is just making me a little crazier than usual! I don't know how to advert the situation at times though. I feel like I'm on the spot. I don't want to be a smart elec... and I want to be a good Christian example, but I don't want someone else sharing my life w/ others just so she can be "in the know". I do share things w/ other co-workers, and I don't want her to feel "left out" or however that may make her feel, but I also trust those others and know that they don't run off to tell the next 100 people they talk to! I honestly want to say "GET A LIFE and quit talking about mine and everyone else's!" But I also know that's not the response I should have... and feel quite guilty for even thinking that way. Any advice?

Brycen's Dream

Yesterday Ryan picked Brycen up from daycare. This is a rare occurence b/c usually Ryan is working a lot later. He got off early and said he would pick him up for me so that I could go to Wal-Mart by myself (woweee!), I was out of there so fast! I didn't know I could do Wal-Mart that fast! haha! Anyway- I got home and Brycen came running to me with a great big hug and said, "I missed you mommy!" Well that melted my heart of course and kind of made me feel guilty for not taking him... although, I don't think I could of dealt w/ Wal-Mart AND a very energetic three yr. old yesterday at the same time b/c I felt like puking (sorry for that last detail!). Anyway, then Brycen goes on to tell me he had a dream... I was like, oh really... and He said, "Yes, in my dream the baby was out of your belly!" I said, "wow, what was it doing? was it a boy or a girl?" He said, "It was a girl, and it was hitting me and kicking me!" So I said, "What did you do??" He said, "I put it in the high chair and ate it!!" He said this w/ a huge smile and starting laughing. What in the world?? You ate it?? What do you even say to that?! Let's hope our baby doesn't hit or kick Brycen ; )

the pictures...

so my site is supposed to be totally kid friendly, hope these don't offend anyone! i wasn't going to post the belly pictures, but i figured if ya'll have to listen to me gripe and complain and cry and (all the happy emotions too!), then you might as well have to watch the belly grow w/ me too. if you don't like belly pictures, don't look below... btw- the pictures really don't do the baby bump any justice, it's much bigger in person- come see me if you want to see for yourself :)
we have decided to take one each week, so ya'll will be getting a weekly update. i thought it would be fun to see which weeks i "really grow" and which ones you can't really tell too much! (i'm in "bum" clothes in all these pictures b/c they are on my day off (wednesdays) and this is just what i look like on wed.'s haha)! :)

4 wks and 2 days

5 wks and 2 days

6 wks and 3 days

Good News!

I just wanted to let you all know that the appointment on Friday went great! Everything looked very normal and just how it should at this point in the pregnancy. The lady doing the sonogram was so sweet, and realized why I was so nervous, she was great! The heart beat was 127 and she worked and worked until we could hear it instead of just see it! Such a relief for mommy to hear that sweet whooshing sound :). She said that it had probably just started beating in the past 2 days or so and that that heartbeat would raise. The baby still looked like a bean?? lol, I'm not really sure how to describe it. She said w/in the next two weeks it will really start to look more like a baby. All I know is that she told me that precious being inside me looks like it's supposed to and has a healthy heartbeat, that makes me so happy and relieved. I also measured to the exact day of the due date they had given me already. Anyway, this isn't a very eventful post (i'm actually very thankful for that), but I wanted to let you prayer warriors know what's going on! Thanks for listening to me freak out and for all the prayers over the past couple of weeks! Keep those prayers coming! :)
