Easter Weekend (Part 1)

Last Friday B was out of school and I was off for Good Friday. Our cousins that live in TN were up visiting and we got to hang out with them for the day! It was so fun and we got to meet their newest addition (the third little girl in their family!). B & C had a blast playing with their cousins Siri & Fiona while us adults had a good time catching up and chatting :) It was a relaxing day (as relaxing as possible with four kids 7 and under running around plus a nursing baby, lol!

This is the best picture I got lol eating brownies!
Saturday afternoon we headed to Montgomery to a birthday party, but first we went and put spring flowers on Andon's stone. I thought they turned out so pretty and bright!
We went into Kenzlie's birthday party then- we were a little early so I helped Britt finish setting up and chatted until people showed up. It was nice getting a little quiet time to chat beforehand!
Kenzlie and Corbin 2 months and 1 day apart :)
Neither one really wanted their picture taken!
All the kids at the party (Corbin was more interested in the ballons) lol!
Trying to get a picture of Corbin and baby Blake (this is outtake 1 of about 10!) lol
We finally got this one of them both looking, but it's blurry and Corbin has that "duhhh" look on his face that he usually gives for pictures lol! Of course as soon as I put the camera away he always laughs and smiles- go figure!
After we left the birthday party we went to Ryan's parents to celebrate Easter with his family. It was nice doing it the night before so we didn't feel rushed and could visit.
Corbin hunting eggs!
Brycen hunting eggs!

Corbin with his basket
Tried to get a picture of me and my boys, but as you can see neither one really liked my idea lol!
Brycen with his basket
We colored eggs too :)
What a mess (for Corbin at least)... he broke like three eggs and literally THREW them into the cups! He left with a green hand! lol
My big boy :)
And Corbin... need I say more?! lol

Little Besties :)

I don't know that I make it clear on my blog how thankful I am for my best friend. She is truely the best friend I could ask for. You know you've struck gold when your best friend prays for you as if she is praying for herself.

Our littlest men are only three weeks apart (it was so fun being pregnant together). We've joked that they don't have much of a choice but to be best friends like their momma's :) They are sooo cute playing together- especially now that they are talking. I love listening to them! Corbin asks for Zane all the time and I.love.it. He also loves Zane's daddy which I think is hilarious that he calls him "Zane's Daddy" instead of Clint. He also says "Nessa" and "Tywer".

These pictures were a few weeks ago when we were visiting one Friday evening, but they are too cute not to share!

Ninja's :)
Makig smoothies- Corbin is being silly!
Corbin is eating ice- he is just like me... :)
Their sweet little two year old hands.... they won't stay this little long.

Spring Break

I'm going to start off by saying this post might be long and tedious and it will have NO pictures! GASP! I know! I thought several times that I needed to get my camera out and even took it out, but I never once snapped one picture in all the days I was home with the boys. We were too busy soaking up the days I guess :) I do want to write this all down so we have a memory of it though- even though we did nothing exciting we enjoyed being together :)

Friday (the 23rd) we went to Clint & Vanesssa's for supper. The big boys played outside while the little boys played toys and ran around being crazy. Now that they say each other's names I think that is sooo cute to hear them call out for each other! We didn't stay too late because Ryan had to get home in time to watch the IU game of course :)

Saturday morning my cousin Brooke and I went to Edinburgh to the outlets to shop :) My mom was in Martinsville visiting my grandma so she met us there. We shopped and ate and shopped some more. Brooke and I had a good time visiting on the way up and trying not to fall asleep on the way back. We actually got back pretty early (around six). Brooke and I are both "go in get it get out" kind of girls...We laughed and said we're ALWAYS waiting on my mom (which is so true!). My grandma watched the boys while Ryan was at work that morning and then he came home and took over- they went to the woods to look for mushrooms but didn't find much of anything except a bunch of ticks all over--eeek! When I got home Ryan wanted to go into town to eat BBQ & rent movies. We got our BBQ to go and went home to eat and watch our movies. Pretty sure I fell asleep before our movie was half way through!

Sunday we went to church and enjoyed our day around the house not doing much of anything except playing outside!

Monday Brycen went on a "date" with my mom to Evansville. They met up with my brother and went to the movies and out to eat and did a little shopping. They saw The Lorax and ate at Red Robin (both B picked out). He also just HAD to get a new Under Armor shirt (bc Uncle Joe thinks it is cool, lol). He is so rotten. Corbin and I spent the day at home trying to get stuff done around the house. Outside was calling our name though and so we did play outside a couple hours before nap time.

Tuesday we played outside ALL day long and most of the evening too :) We ran into town and picked up lunch and took Ryan some lunch because he forgot his in the fridge (I think he did on purpose so he could see us;) lol!

Wednesday we once again played outside all day long. B had baseball that evening for a couple hours so we went to that- I love watching him and Corbin loves playing in the dirt so even though Ryan's at every practice coaching and I really wouldn't HAVE to go- I still want to because we (Corbin and I) enjoy it!

Thursday Ryan once again "forgot" his lunch. I got some more house work done in the morning and then got myself and the boys ready and took Ryan his lunch and ran a few other errands like going to the bank and then we went and got WalMart out of the way. The boys were so good it went quickly so that was nice. We went home and spent the rest of our afternoon/evening outside!

Friday morning we got up and met Vanessa & her boys at a yard sale in town that we were both wanting to hit up. I got Brycen some really nice stuff for next winter :) I love a good yard sale! We then went to the park for a couple hours that morning and let the boys played while we chatted. I went home to do some laundry and of course we played outside more. I will say that it is SO much easier to let Corbin play this year and I don't have to hover over him. For one he is a year older and can do much more but for two we have grass in the front yard which makes things so much nicer. All week the boys played basketball (B played while Corbin tried), baseball (same thing again), dug in the rocks and the dirt, swung from tree vines (yes like Tarzan!), rode bikes/trikes etc. I got some time to sit & relax in the swing and read while they played so nicely. I also got myself a nice farmers tan haha! Anyway when Ryan got home we headed to Evansville to get an quote on the deck for the back of the house (can't wait until that is done!). We ate at Red Lobster & looked around at a few vehicles. Corbin hadn't had a nap so he fell asleep early... I was wanting to go to the mall to run a few errands, but we decided to skip it that night since we were all pretty tired.

Saturday morning B had baseball again from 10-12. We got up and relaxed awhile and then went to baseball (it was pretty chilly!). Ryan had rented some digging machine to work on dirt work behind and beside the house so he worked on that most of the day while the boys and I played outside. They loved watching him work with the digger :) That night we went to Princeton to Rural King to get some more grass seed, we ate at Sonic and looked at a few more vehicles (we weren't really ready to buy a new vehicle, but my van has been doing some crazy things soooo we figured we better start looking). We have put a ton of miles on it the past few years. We didn't find anything so we just headed home.

Sunday Ryan worked on dirt work a lot more while he had the machine rented. We were outside all day until I drug Corbin in at six to take a bath and so I could get everything ready for our day back to work/school. I gave C a bath and he went and sat on the couch and fell right asleep as soon as I had put his pj's on him. He hadn't had a nap in two days and had played so hard outside- he slept right through the night :) Ryan and B got home from the taking the machine back a little later and we just had sandwiches for supper and then it was back to a normal 8pm bedtime for Brycen. He said he wasn't ready to go back to school, but yesterday morning he kept talking about his friends so I think he was :)

Back to work I went yesterday morning. I will say it was tough pulling myself out of bed at 5am and it was even tougher to drop Corbin off at the sitter, but we made it. Ryan and I both left work early to go look at another vehicle in Jasper (which we actually purchased yesterday).

This morning it was even harder to get out of bed. My body is still getting used to getting up that early again. It's amazing that a week off will get you out of the habit of it so quickly!

We had a good spring break just staying home and playing, but we are all looking forward to our vacation coming up in about a month (Brycen has a count down going on!). It is nice to ease back into this since it's a three day week for me with a four day weekend. Our kids get Mon. off too for a snow day they didn't use. Yippee for more days off :)

Well, I've rambled long enough hopefully next time I'll have pictures to share :)

What a week! We are all so tired because we have gotten to bed late every night except Monday.
Tuesday we ended up having to go to Jasper because I suddenly realized Brycen needed new cleats because his were way too small from last year (he jumped from an 11 to a 13). We ate in Jasper and went to Hibbitt's (where his dad insisted he needed a new glove, bag, and numerous other baseball items instead of just the cleats we went after!). Then we had to go to Home Depot and to Walmart.
Wednesday morning Corbin and I met Beth and Theo at the park to get my tshirt and give her some things for their no tag adoption fundraiser and to play of course :) It was so nice to finally hang out in person! Honestly, I think I prefer to already "know" someone so well before actually meeting- it makes it so much less awkward. :) It was a fun morning. Corbin and I took Ryan lunch and then went home and played outside some more. I completely forgot to take pictures at the park even though I had my camera. Corbin keeps me too busy to get out my camera as much anymore even though I almost always have it with me.

Corbin loves to "bat" :)
I can't believe he is so bigPlaying with Bubba's bat- he loves anything of Bubba's lol!
My other little man!
He had his first practice Wednesday evening.
He moved up to minor league with a pitching machine this year.
He says it is way more fun and he loved it!
He did great too so hopefully it will be a fun season!
Ryan is coaching and he said it was MUCH more fun to coach this age group b/c he didn't feel so much like he was babysitting, but actually playing baseball lol!
Corbin had a blast at practice too just running around and playing in the dirt.
We are just LOVING this weather (minus all the allergies it is giving us!).
Ribbon wreath I made for Mya's birthday.
For her pretty new room
Jayce, Hailey, Mya, and B at Mya's party last Sun.
Corbin was much too busy for picture taking :)
Last night we had B's spring program at school- it was beach themed and so cute!
This just shows you what a ham he is... look at everyone looking at him b/c he was being goofy!
Triptyn, Brycen, Nolan, Haylie, and Payton before their 1st grade spring program
With their sunshines & sunglasses on stage during the program!
Tonight we're going to hang out with the DeCoursey's and tomorrow my cousin Brooke and I are going to meet my mom in Edinburgh to go shopping. I'm off all next week for B's spring break and I'm soooooo looking forward to a full week off with my boys! Hopefully I can catch up on some rest too not having to get up so early!

More Blurriness

I actually do have a few pictures on my real camera, BUT right as I went to snap a really cute picture of B on his 4wheeler yesterday my batteries died... I meant to pick some up at Walmart on Friday, but of course I forgot... so I'm with out batteries for a few days (I have to get them before Thurs, b/c that's Brycen's spring program!).

Last Tuesday evening we made last minute plans to have supper at my parents. It was a quick event, but the boys enjoyed riding on "the buggy" (my dad's souped up golf cart). I let Brycen take me on a ride and thought I might die... the boy loves to live on the wild side (and I'm scared of him getting his license!). Eeekkk!! When we got home I thought Corbin felt warm and sure enough he had a temp of 102. He woke up gagging on his drainage in the night and it was a long night for us! Wednesday morning I called the Dr. b/c even with meds his temp was staying around 101. We got into the NP at 2pm (I love that lady!) and sure enough Corbin had a slight ear infect. and a really bad sore throat. He was so miserable that all day/night Wed. and all day Thurs. he really just layed around (which is SO not him- he usually goes 200MPH!). By Thursday night his atb's had kicked in and he was feeling better!

Anyway, Wednesday Brycen had Joey get off the bus with him at our house and they played and played (and did their homework like good little boys with little complaint!) before church that evening. It was B's last week he can go to youth on Wednesday b/c baseball practices start this week (we've already had a few baseball related things to do) and they are on Wednesdays from 6-8! Bummer! He really loves youth and so I'm sad he'll be missing out. I was glad he got to take a friend this week for his last week. Those boys got sooo muddy in the creek that I had to have them both shower & give Joey clean clothes to wear to church lol! Don't worry I washed up all his things before I took him home so his mom didn't think I'm awful, haha!

Thursday I was home with a sick Corbin.

Friday I came into work & then had to leave at noon to go get Corbin b/c he broke out in a rash/blisters all over. He looked awful. I gave him benadryl when we got home and it cleared up pretty quickly. By the time the dr's office got back from lunch it was pretty well all gone. They didn't think it was his atb's since he hadn't had them since the morning before (I was waiting to give them to him at supper time that evening). Still not sure what caused it so I guess we'll be watching for it again and just hope it was a freak thing... he hadn't had anything different to eat or anything. Friday evening Ryan was a little late getting home, but we went ahead to Princeton and ate and went to Menards & Walmart. We didn't get home until late and we unloaded our stuff and crashed into bed!

Saturday morning I got up and did a little bit of laundry. When Ryan got home we loaded up the boys and went to town to take our trash/recycling & run to Pamida to get a couple things. We decided since it was so pretty and we didn't have much on the agenda to stop by the Evans RV (just to look around). They have a pretty new building and the boys had fun looking in the big huge RV's (with fireplaces and flat screen tv's no less!). We went home and worked/played outside. Ryan got up more lights in the garage. He was sad to not be able to get the dirt work and grass seed planted that he wanted to, but he did still get a lot accomplished outside (pretty sure our property is going to be a longggggggg (maybe never ending?) project!). We were outside all day and evening. Corbin did go inside and take a nap. He layed on his bed and fell asleep while I was making some sandwiches. He must of been worn out! That night we watched the IU game and I made Mya's birthday present (picture on my real camera).

Yesterday morning we got up and went to church & then to John & Sonya's for Mya's FOURTH (can't believe that) birthday party. It was fun and such a pretty day. We came home and changed and went back outside to play until after six. My house is really suffering from all this pretty weather, but I'm trying not to notice (even though it's honestly driving me crazy) so that I can enjoy these pretty days with my sweet boys!

We are looking forward to a few more days of this summer like weather! I know my house is going to get even dirtier and my laundry is going to pile up even more (and I'm not exaggerating when I say this NEVER happens- I have issues with a clean house and dirty laundry). I'm trying to overcome them! lol . It's supposed to rain later in the week so I'll catch up then :)

Here are a few blurry pictures off of my phone- if you've made it this far in my rambling you deserve to see some cuteness :)

Corbin loves to wear B's baseball helmet around-- backwards of course :)

A few weeks ago B had a church thing at his friends church on a Fri night and Corbin got to hang w/ momma and daddy for a few hours by himself. He seemed SO big that night!

This is what I found when I went to wake up the boys this morning.
They had both crawled in our bed when Daddy left for work this morning- they went back to sleep snuggling each other!
Melt.my.heart!
It was hard to wake them up when they looked sooo comfy!

Great Weekend

We had an amazing weekend. In my book it was PERFECT. We did NOTHING special, but the weather was beautiful and it was time spent w/ my three main men- so it was perfect! I didn't take any pictures b/c I was too busy enjoying the time and getting projects done around the house.

Friday evening we went to Princeton and ate supper & went to Wal-Mart. It has started to become our Friday night ritual. It gets our groceries done before the weekend starts & is low key so we have a chance to just eat & shop and be with each other. I hate walmart, but going w/ the entire family has actually made it more enjoyable. We are all full and in good moods and Princeton walmart is hardly ever busy so we take our time and let B look at guns or whatever sporting equipment he is eyeing that week and just laugh and have a good evening- even at walmart!

Right when we walked in the door we had some surprise visitors- Ryan's friend Spaulding and his wife Jo Ann- she is about to pop any day with their sweet baby girl. It was soo good to chat with them for an hour or so! We don't see them very often.

Saturday mornings Ryan usually goes into work from about 5 until 9 or 10am... this Saturday a machine broke and he didn't get home until almost 1pm. The boys and I snuggled and played in the morning & then around lunch time as I was cleaning up I decided to tackle reorganizing/decluttering the kitchen. It has been on my "To Do" list for quite awhile- I did the bathrooms a couple weeks ago and purging just happens to be one of my fave things as does organizing- in this case re organizing. When we moved in our island wasn't finished so I felt like things were sort of hodge podged and while I have a lot of kitchen cabinets I was not using some of them very wisely! I moved some things around and straightened some others and I'm very happy with the results :) I'm a nerd I know. I cleaned out the fridge and the pantry too so I feel like the kitchen has a fresh start :) Last week I had bought a valance to hang up and I got that hung up. It feels much more "homey".

When Ryan got home around 1pm Corbin was napping so B & Ryan went outside to work and clean out Ryan's truck, clean in the garage etc. etc. We all have spring fever! While they were doing that I cleaned out toys that Corbin has outgrown and added them to my collection of things I had purged from the kitchen. I also decluttered in the office area of the laundry room. The cabinets of that desk area seem to be magnets for junk since it's near our "drop area" right when we walk in the door. Plus, I've been keeping a lot of craft supplies in the cabinets and we all know how those can get out of hand! I came up with a tote and two diaper boxes full of things to get rid of... If you would of asked me if I had that much in my upstairs to get rid of I would of said no way! About the time I finished Corbin woke up and we went outside to play the rest of the evening. We went inside and showered/bathed quickly and ran into town to rent movies and wash Ryan's truck and we ate at China Wok (two nights in a row of not having to cook- sounds good in my book!). When we got home we watched Soul Surfer- what a good family movie that talks a lot about faith. Very inspiring!

Yesterday we missed church- silly time change- living on the line of two time zones and having crazy cell phones doesn't always work well... Ryan hung up my curtains I had bought for the living room and for Corbin's room. He also hung a few things on the wall in the living room. I'm finally starting to get brave and decorate just a little! I had resisted the curtains, but it does look more inviting in each of the rooms we have put curtains in. I still need to get some for B's room and my bathroom and a valance for the glass door in the laundry room that will lead out to the deck (whenever that gets done!). We then went outside and played all day!! Ryan swept out the van for me so that was a nice treat. We rode 4wheelers and the neighbor boys came over to play. I got caught up around the house while C napped. We finished off our evening by watching another movie- it was called My Own Love Song and it was crazy. B said, "It didn't even tell the whole story and my teacher says you have to tell the WHOLE STORY or no one knows what you're talking about..." Lol I have to agree with him- it was a weird movie.

So now that I've bored ya'll to death with my boring (but great to me) weekend I'll stop! I basically just want to type out these things so that I can look back on these not so exciting, but love filled memories of my sweet family.

Outside Weather

This post is picture overload- partly b/c they are so cute I couldn't decide which ones to share and partly b/c they are the only pictures I have to share :)

Last Wednesday on my day at home Corbin and I went outside to play for awhile before his nap time. "Awhile" turned into a long while b/c he was having so much fun. It worked well b/c he fell asleep on the couch before I could even get his shoes off once we went inside!

He loves to play ball :)

And pretend to ride the 4wheeler :)

We walked down to the mail box- where did Corby's eyes go?!

There they are :)

I just love this boy!

And off he goes- I'm not that slow- this boy just flat out RUNS everywhere he goes and boy is he quick!

Petting Bob (Bob Cat) umm yah B named him! lol

Bob is an outside cat that is soooo tame.

He lets the boys love on him and Corbin drag him around etc...

Sliding :)

I just can't resist that sweet face!

After Corbin's nap brother got home from school and we went back outside to play.

The sun had come out and it was soooo nice out!

We played some more ball :)

My big boy shooting hoops :)

watching it swish!

I can't believe how big he is...

just so grown up.

Love him so much.

Running to "shoot" the ball!

He definitely thinks he is much older than just turned 2!

We haven't been up to a whole lot this past week. Just the normal work/school/activities etc... This past weekend Ryan got to go to a clay pigeon shoot with some of his good friends so he was excited about that. The boys & I hung out at home and cleaned (fun stuff, I tell ya!). We relaxed and played the rest of the weekend though!

I'm excited to be off the next two days (our babysitter has to go to the dentist Thurs. so I'm taking an extra day off). I'm so excited about this spring because I have a lot of time off coming up! I think it's supposed to be really nice tomorrow so I'm sure we'll have more fun playing outside! (Now if only our yard wasn't soooo muddy- that's the downside!).

Baseball season starts tonight for Brycen- yay! He is excited about that!
