~randomness~

I don't know where the days and weeks go?! They just fly by... wayyy too fast for me. I have to go back to work in two weeks... Reality is really setting in now and I'm not liking it one bit. I try not to think about it, but every time I squeeze my little man it's hard not to think that I am going to have to leave him here soon. Makes me feel a little (okay, a lot) panicky... I know he will be in very capable, loving, hands and that is the only thing getting me by. I think if I had to leave him with someone else I wouldn't be able to do it, but knowing Kayla (cousin) will be the one to watch him while I'm working makes it a little easier... he'll have fun "playing" with Kaydee Mae too... I'm sure it will get easier as I get back into the swing of things. I think the anticipation is always/usually the worst part.

Anyway, this past week we went to Ryan's cousin's house and showed him the house plan that Ryan had drawn up (a long time ago)... he is doing our drawings/blue prints for us. That was a fun step in the house process. The rest of the stuff we're doing right now isn't so fun! That's another stressful thing right now... not being real sure of where we are going between the time we have to be out of house (Memorial Day Weekend) and when we get our house built... We'll probably have to move in with my parents for a little while, but we're hoping to be able to put a trailer on our property for the rest of the time (but we have to get septic/electric/water done first before we could move it on there). I know I need to quit worrying about it b/c God has it all worked out already. It's just so much at once, moving, being homeless, building, going back to work, etc...

On a lighter note my mom, my cousin Brooke, Corbin, and I went to Edinburgh shopping on Friday. It was rainy and not very nice weather, but still fun. I found lots of stuff for the boys, not so much for me. I got a few things, but when you're not completely happy with a post baby body it doesn't make it a lot of fun to shop for yourself. I really need to workout more and get my stomach back in shape so I like myself in (well and out! haha) of clothes again.

Yesterday, we went to the Washington Park and met Sandy, to do the boys' pictures! (click the link to view). It was fun and she got some cute shots. I think C is at a hard stage to get pics of b/c he isn't a sleepy newborn, but he can't sit up or anything yet... but despite that she got some cute pictures and I'm thrilled with them! Brycen is so easy to get pictures of b/c his smile is so natural and big. He just cracks me up!

Last night our friends Chelsey & Ryan came to visit. We hardly get to see them anymore b/c of Ryan's (Chelsey's Ryan, not my Ryan, lol) work schedule. The last time we got to hang out with both of them was the beginning of Dec. so it was nice to visit with them for quite a long time last night. We just made spaghetti and hung out and visited. I miss that! We used to do that with them EVERY. WEEKEND. until Ryan H. got his new job.

This morning our stinkin' alarm didn't go off... think our electric went off during the night. It's supposed to have battery back up, but I am guessing the batteries are dead?! lol... so anyway, we didn't make it to church. C is still sleeping pretty much through the night. He goes to sleep between 9 and 10 and sleeps til around 5-5:30am. Such a good boy! We also had to move him up to size 2 diapers this week. I just can't believe he is already in size 2! We also had to move him up to 3-6 month clothes. He can still wear a few 0-3 outfits, but no 0-3 sleepers or onsies. Yikes, he is just growing sooo fast! His feet are so tiny though (b's always had little feet too). They are pudgy, but really short. I wanted to get him some cute brown sandles at Edinburgh the other day at the Carter's store and even the NEWBORN ones were too big! His feet looked huge when he was born, but I think it was just b/c the rest of him was so small... I don't think his feet have grown at all, lol! He has started making lots of noises "talking" to us in response to us talking to him. He also has laughed a few times, it's the most adorable noise! I just can't get enough of his little sounds. He is still a very good baby, only crying when he is hungry or has a dirty diaper. His favorite things right now are still laying on a blanket chillin', still loves his swing (when he is tired), and really into his bouncy seat right now (just discovered the toys this past week). He still loves his brother the most and gives him the biggest smiles. If B is running around playing and talking C is constantly turning his head trying to see him. B sings to C alllll the time and Corbin loves it. He has actually put him to sleep quite a few times by singing to him. MELT.MY.HEART!

Well, onto some pictures of my boys :)

Batting at his toys and smiling at them. He really likes them now and he also likes the music on his bouncy seat too. He just discovered the toys this week.

sitting on bubby's lap watching chuggington :)
they sat like this for a long time.
B still can't get enough of his lil' brother.
I realized when taking these pictures how big Corbin is really getting!

Big yawn!

He fell asleep on B's lap :) so sweet

C's BFF & Great Grammy

Friday night C got to hang out with his bestie Zane. :)
Corbin 9 1/2 Weeks
Zane 12 1/2 Weeks
I couldn't get them both to look at me at the same time!

Zane is my BFF Vanessa's lil boy. Corbin and him are three weeks exactly apart.
Their big brothers Brycen and Tyler are also best friends (and their dads too!).

It's hilarious to me that my tiny little baby has now passed up babies that were a good 2lbs bigger than him at birth! I'm so thankful he is so healthy now!
They were just "talking" to each other all evening- it was sooo cute!

Today Great Grammy Knepp got to meet and hold Corbin for the first time :)
She looks pretty good for 82, huh?!
We had communion at church today. I am so thankful for the sweet fellowship and wonderful church family that we have. I feel so blessed.

Baseball, Evansville, Rocks, Park

Tuesday evening we went to B's baseball practice. Ryan is having so much fun coaching them. The little girls on the team just crack me up! One little girl actually did a toe kick while batting! Hilarious, I tell ya! Brycen and Ryan have been practicing batting a little each evening. They are having so much fun.

Corbin Fisher enjoys baseball practice too!
Wednesday we got up and the boys and I went to Evansville. I had a million and one things to return/exchange and wanted to get it all done. I had such a fun day with my two boys! They were both so good and the weather was gorgeous- it was just a wonderful day! We went to Babies R Us, Dicks Sporting Goods, the mall (B got to play in the play area while I fed Corbin)... we went to Old Navy and Gymboree and a few other stores at the mall and had lunch at Chik-Fil-A. Then we went to Shoe Carnival and last, but certainly not least...

we went to Cold Stone :)

Corbin's first time at Cold Stone... he slept while B and I ate our ice cream outside. He doesn't really have a choice, but to grow up and love ice cream as much as B and I :)

B loving his kids chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips mixed in :) (I get sweet cream with reese's mixed in).
We were gone pretty much the entire day. When we got home we went over to my parents for pizza. My Great Aunt Jane and Great Uncle Herman were down from Bloomfield visiting and they hadn't seen Corbin yet so we went to visit. B played in the rocks and on the dirt pile. Those are two of his very favorite things to do. The boy really does not need toys, he just loves dirts and rocks- give him a shovel and he can go to town :)

B and Lilyan
(she is our friends' Jeremy and Megan's little girl- one of her favorite words is "B" and she talks about him ALL the time!). Her grandma and grandpa are best friends and neighbors with my parents and she will see Brycen at my parents and start screaming "B B B B" It's so cute!

Of course he didn't want to stop digging and smile for me.

Gran (my grandma Judy) and Corbin.
Yesterday Brycen had Kindergarten round-up. It went great... better than I actually expected. Our big boy knows much more than he ever let on to me. Lil' terd! I wasn't worried about what he knew, I knew he was plenty ready for Kindergarten, I was actually just surprised at HOW ready! He did a great job and had fun. My Kindergarten teacher was the teacher we met with to discuss his results so that was pretty neat! She is retiring this year though so he won't be able to have her as a teacher :( After K-round up we had to run some errands (post office, bank, etc) and then we went to McDonalds and got some lunch and took it to the park.
C loves his stroller and being outside- he does not enjoy coming in anymore! He really is just the best baby!

trying to chew on his outfit- he now tries to fit his whole hand in his mouth!
B on the "fire man pole" as he called it :)

climbing

I have a picture of myself on this same toy at around this same age at the park :)
I have pictures of myself on this big ol' slide too! Momma had to show him how it was done b/c he was a little aprehensive, but when I did it he couldn't be shown up by his momma ;) He then loved it and proceeded to do it about 20 times!

We've loved this beautiful weather this week (it's a little too cold for C and I today!). Only three weeks left until I have to go back to work and I am dreading it :(

First Baseball Practice & Outside

This past Tuesday B had his first t-ball practice. He loves it! Ryan is coaching his team and I'm not sure who loves it more- Ryan or B! haha! I'm glad they can share this though. This is B and his best buddy Joey- his dad is helping coach the team too. B and Joey couldn't quit goofing off when they were beside each other in line to bat- so they had to get separated! lol :)
Corbin Fisher sat in his bouncy seat outside, content as can be, for 3 hours! He let mommy get lots of stuff done like cleaning out the car, working on stuff in the garage, and playing with his bubby! He was so content just sitting there watching and then he fell asleep.

Who doesn't love baby feet?! Precious!

He fell asleep and I couldn't resist taking a picture of my lil' sweetie!

This big boy (in his too little beach hat that he insisted on wearing) is such a big helper! He loves to help with whatever we are doing. He helped his Daddy put up a new entry door to the garage and he helped me clean the car and work in the garage- then we played on his swing set :) .
I am feeling a little overwhelmed by all the stuff we have to do right now. I go back to work 4 weeks from today and the days are speeding by. I don't know how they go so fast- it seems that the day is over and it is bedtime and I still haven't gotten half the stuff done I need to. I would much rather just sit and cuddle my boys (which I am doing a lot of!). I am loving the pretty weather and we have been outside most of the time- makes it hard to get much of anything else done!
Tonight we are going to look at land again- praying this is the one and it works out. We have to be out of our house Memorial Day Weekend. I have started packing up all the stuff we aren't using right now (like china, decorations, pictures, etc). We have boxes everywhere and even though they are organized it makes me feel unorganized and it drives me insane (literally!!).
I really am excited about the house though! Well, C is waking up from a nap and he needs a bath! :) And then we have errands to run- fun stuff!! I love these days with my boys.

Trust In The Lord...Always

This used to be a beautiful stained glass cross that hung on a little stand. It was that until I dropped it today while I was packing some stuff. UGH! I hate when that happens! It was so pretty. I cleaned up the glass that went EVERYWHERE when I dropped it on the tile and then I went to throw this big main piece away and stopped as I looked at it before it dropped in the trash. I read the verse on it that says "Trust In The Lord". And I thought- hmm... God is telling me something here... Something I already knew, but obviously needed reminded of. This piece used to be in the shape of a beautiful cross-- compare to when life seems to be going perfect. Now this piece is jagged and broken and not so beautiful anymore-- compare to when life isn't going so perfect or we have pieces of life or even of ourselves that are rough and broken and need work. Even when we have those rough, broken, jagged pieces we still need to Trust Him... Just because you can't clearly see the big beautiful picture all the time doesn't mean you try to do life on your own- you don't stop seeking His will just because you can't see the outcome of what is to be. Because His plan is always perfect, just like this cross was before I dropped it :)

Hopefully, this makes sense and I'm just not talking nonsense- it made better sense in my head! lol. Also, Picture quality is terrible, because I've somehow misplaced my camera :(

Hot Rod, Easter, & 8 Weeks

B and my parents in the "hot rod" as B calls it :)
It's actually a '67 Firebird.
B is def. a Papaw's boy! He can't get enough of Papaw Rick!
(Probably b/c they like all the same toys...i.e. hotrods, motorcyles, etc...) haha!

Easter morning we got up so early to get ready for sunrise service... we have to leave an extra 45 min. early b/c that's how long it takes us to get from our house to church! Yikes! It was so early, but we made it!

B and C with their baskets before church

After church we went to Ryan's parents. We visited and the kids did an egg hunt.
I thought Corbin looked adorable all decked out for Easter!

my boys and i :)

all the cousin's on ryan's side.
me holding c, mya, hailey, jayce, and b

hailey, brycen, jayce, and mya

this boy just has so much personality!
he is so much fun-- look at that smile!

seriously, he is the picture of JOY!

B w/ his Easter basket from Mamaw and Papaw Gizzy (Ryan's parents)
After we left there we came home and got ready and went looking for property some more (did I mention we DID sell our house?). Then we went to my parents to visit and have supper.

When we got there my parents had this bouncy thing set up- it was one of B's Christmas presents from them. He was sooo excited to finally ge to use it!

B and my Dad also set up his sand and water table. This boy was on cloud 9 having all his outside toys set up!

C with his Easter stuff from my parents

my brother and i...
yes, i am that short- and he is that tall :)

b and my little cousin ashlyn looking through their eggs

We found out that Corbin doesn't like to be held by a ton of different people all day! The boy has never had a fussy day until Easter... he just got tired of being passed around (it was the first time many different people have held him at one time). He really does just like to lay on a blanket on the floor and chill- that's just his personality. He was back to himself on Monday just hanging out with me and B chillin'.
B drew on our landscaping bricks with sidewalk chalk and took this picture- I thought it was neat :)

Yesterday Corbin was 8 Weeks Old- I can't believe it!
Today he had his two month check up.
Sit down for this people!
He weighed ELEVEN POUNDS AND TEN OZ! (that's the 50th percentile!)
Yes, people, my tiny little, not on the chart for weight baby is a chunk!
He has rolls on his legs (see above picture) and arms!
It is adorable!
I think he looks even bigger to us just b/c he was so small when he was born.
He was also 23 inches long (60th percentile).
He checked out great.
I looked in B's baby book and his stats at 2 mo. were 11lb 6oz and 23 in. long so they are VERY similar in size (only 4 oz) apart!
Poor baby has to have his shots tomorrow :(
Brycen also had a check up today b/c his allergies and asthma have just been out of control lately. We are going to try a new inhatlor medicine and see if that works. We are also going to think about him seeing an allergist. I hate for him to be poked that many times, but he is just miserable and since he is ALWAYS outside it makes it that much worse for him!
He weighed 36 lbs still. That's only the tenth percentile. The Dr. said it's fine really, especially since I'm smaller it's normal for him to be skinnier, but he also said if his body is working so hard with his allergies and asthma that it might be part of the reason he hasn't gained weight in almost two years. So we'll see... We're going to see how he does with the new meds and then decide whether or not to see the allergist, depending on if his symptoms get better or stay the same. If they stay the same we have to do something different. He was 43 and 1/2 inches tall which was the 60th percentile. The dr. commented on his large vocabulary, lol, didn't surprise me, because sometimes the different things he says just blows my mind! He doesn't sound 5! (this isn't always a good thing!). He has to get his shots for Kindergarten on Friday. It might not be a fun weekend around here with both boys getting shots! B always gets fever with his. I'm hoping C doesn't too...
We have been to look at several different properties, but haven't found "the one"... It's a little stressful since we've already sold our house and we need to be getting on the ball with everything for our house. We are staying in Pike County... there are a few reasons, but a major one being my job is here and I'm the one that has to get the kids to school/babysitter and I have to be at work by 7am so for me to drive even farther would just be insane... plus my family is here and my cousin is babysitting Corbin when I go back to work and my grandma will be getting Brycen on the bus since I have to be at work so early (I go that early to have my day off on Wed, and I'm not giving that up!). Sooo, even though I have a lot of friends in Montgomery and would actually love for my kids to go to Barr Reeve- it's just not going to work out for us to move there. We are still looking and we will see... I am not good with not having "a plan and having every detail planned out"...guess that's the type A coming out in me :) I'm sure God is laughing at me or pulling his hair out at me since I know he has tried teaching me this lesson many times before (patience and knowing it will all work out)... You would think I'd learn?! I'm trying!
Well, that's an update on us...

7 Weeks & Park

Corbin is just "talking" a lot these days :) It's so sweet!
He was 7 Weeks Old Yesterday!
He really is just the best baby!
He only cries when he's hungry or needs his diaper changed.
I just can't get over how good he is!
Brycen was a very good baby too so I just figured I couldn't get so lucky to have two good babies! He is still only getting up once at night- eating- and going right back to sleep.

Hailey, Brycen, and Jayce
Today we went and met Sonya and her kids and Grace at the park in Washington to play.
Corbin hung out in the sling the whole time and just snoozed away.
I honestly don't know how I lived with out the sling before! It makes things a lot easier!
Hailey, Brycen, Jayce, and Grace
I saw a ton of people that I know! It was so good to get to visit with so many sweet girls!
So, like two seconds ago I just signed a Seller's agreement for our house! Yep, that's right, we sold our house!
