Field Day

Last Friday PES had field day at the park (the whole school corp k-12 get to go, but on different days). They do this for good ISTEP test scores. The kids love it (last year it was sooo stressful, and this year the morning was stressful, but we had a ball in the afternoon!).

This was my group of kids

Brycen, Peyton H. (or "boy Peyton- B also has a "girl Payton in his class- lol), Kodi, Nevada, and Gracie

I had a GREAT group of kids!!!

In the morning we were on the inflatables- that was stressful b/c they were all wet from the rain the night before etc...

In the afternoon we broke up into grades and did games by classes- here is Brycen doing the egg race :)

Limbo!!
Brycen won his class limbo and got 2nd overall for the entire first grade!
He was so proud, but kept saying, "I don't know how I did that!" lol!

My baby and I :)
We ended up having beautiful weather and so much fun!

Dancing to a fun "follow the leader" sing w/ reggae type music!

All of us moms made fools of ourselves too and did it- so fun!

B & his bestie- Joey

B with his buddies that are in his class

Kendric, Peyton, Nolan, and B

I actually wasn't going to do this field trip because they told us we had to choose between this one and the big field trip in the spring, but then they didn't even have enough volunteers so thankfully I get to do both :) I was glad it turned out that way! I was worn out and sore the next day (that's a sign of a lot of fun and maybe that I need to get my hiney in shape!). Brycen was EXHAUSTED and fell asleep on the couch early Friday night!

~Random~

Always into something!!

The weekend before this past one we went to Mi Pueblo on Saturday night after the car parade in Washington. My Uncle Dan and Aunt Barb are here from Arizona and their daughter Penny is here with them this year too! I love these people! My brother was home for the wk/end from college- which is a rare occasion! I had Ryan snap a picture of me and each of the boys- b/c we hardly have any with me in them!
This boy is Mr. Smiles until you pull out the camera- or until someone else starts talking to him, lol!

And this one never wipes the smile off his face! :)

Love them both so much!

We were so excited to see Uncle Joe :)

With him running XC he hardly ever gets to come home, but the boys sure love when he does! Brycen thinks he hung the moon- and tells EVERYONE he has the strongest uncle ever! He can't wait to be in college like Uncle Joe- momma sure can wait for that though!

19 Months

Another month has passed already! My "baby" is growing up right before our eyes. Brycen said just this morning when we were getting C dressed, "I can't remember when Corbin was a little baby". I have to agree with him. The little baby stage seems so far in the past already. We love watching him learn new things and we all get so excited when he says something new or does something new. It's so fun to watch him develop his own personality and see things through his eyes.

He has turned into quite the little lover and pats and hugs us all the time. It's SO sweet! He does it randomly which we think makes it even sweeter!

Ryan has been working outside every evening on the yard and so we've had lots of outside play time with this gorgeous weather we've been having. He is loving that. He loves playing in the dirt and with Bella and the cat (Bob). He loves to pet the animals. Brycen taught him to roll or scoot down the big hill behind the house since C kept falling trying to walk down it. It's hilarious to watch! He thinks he is big stuff and tries to keep up with whatever B is doing. Brycen is so good about helping him and playing with him. Brycen has his pedal tractor in the basement and C can't reach the pedals so Brycen pushes him on it instead. :) He has been enjoying riding the "tacter" with Daddy in the evenings too.

He is still very stubborn and can throw a fit with the best of them, but his attitude transformation from June until now just blows me away. I knew it was teeth (getting six all at once), but it was just a very challenging time. He is such a joy now! His fits now are normal ones that I expect. He does have a bad habit of throwing his sippy or a toy when he is mad about something. He has a temper for sure. We're working on it. If Brycen gets in trouble Corbin does NOT like that. He will pucker up and almost cry! He then comes over and shakes his finger at me and tells me, "no no no!". I love how they stick up for each other!

There is no doubt that we all three cater to Corbin... it worries me sometimes that we will make him rotten, but we waited so long for him and went through so much heartache before getting him here that it's really hard not to! We just eat him up! If I tell him no more snacks before supper, Brycen will beg for Corbin. If I tell him it's time to get out of the bath B will say, "Oh Mom just let him stay in 5 more minutes!". It's not a habit I should encourage, but honestly I think it's just sweet. B was so in love with Corbin when he was born and people would say, "ohhh Just wait until he's getting into his stuff and he won't like him so much anymore." So far this has held no truth to it and I LOVE telling those people who were such debbie downers that my boys are still just as bonded as ever.

Corbin's new favorite toy is the "popper". Aghh! He is driving us crazyyy with that thing! I remember when it was B's favorite toy that Ryan would hide it behind the tv stand and I would have to get it out for him. Well, his new hiding spot for the toy is the basement stairs. lol! It's true you can't hear yourself think when he has that toy out, but when it's just us at home I let him play with it all he wants :) Daddy's ears must be more sensitive! :)

His favorite book is the farm animal book and a counting book that has bears in it. He also thinks he has to "help" do Brycen's homework every night, lol! His favorite movie is (and actually the only thing he has shown any interest in watching) is the CareBears Make a Wish Movie! It got DVR'd by accident, but he LOVES it!

He discovered pretzels the weekend we went camping and I'd have to say they are his favorite snack now! I eat tortilla chips like crazy all the time and he always thinks he needs a "bite". I tear him off the tiniest little piece and he thinks he is big stuff. His favorite sippy cups used to be the soft topped ones, but he now won't drink out of those and prefers the hard topped ones (Gerber is the brand he prefers and we have tried them all, lol!). He also will refuse to eat off his own plate, but beg from one of us to eat off ours. I love his quirks :)

Corbin is finally staying up until around 7:30 (it had been between 6:30-7). Even though it's a small amount of extra time I'm enjoying it just the same!

Well, this is a rambling all over the place post, but I just wanted to post what was on my heart at 19 months :)

Cute Randomness

C watching Care Bears Make a Wish Movie- the ONLY thing he will watch, but he LOVES this! It got DVR'd by accident, but it's sooo cute to see him dance to the music and ooo and aaaaa over the bears!

I can never get a picture of him smiling, but here is proof that he really is a happy boy! :)

They made a "sled" out of a box- B spoils C rotten!

Seriously! He just pushed him around and if he would stop C would say, "no no no" and B would keep going and say, "okay brother, a little bit more" :) They are SO funny!

Camping

Our Six Year Anniversary was this past Saturday (Sept. 10th). We had planned for quite awhile to take the boys to St. Louis and hang out and visit the zoo and do some other fun stuff, but about a week ago Brycen started begging to go camping instead. We told him we could go another weekend coming up, but he insisted we go this past weekend. We decided if that's what he wanted to do then we'd do it! We just went to Prides Creek- my Grandma has a permanent spot out there and it's really nice- plus a short drive :). I just got a few pictures the first evening, but we spent the whole weekend and had a blast despite the rainy weather.

My cousin Todd and his wife Kayla and their little girl Kaydee Mae were camping Friday night so they came to the camper to hang out and visit with us. She made apple cider and we had smores and chatted while the kids played- about as perfect as a Friday night can get in my book!

pure sweetness.

I was thankful I grabbed those buckets and shovels on my way out the door because they played with them the entire weekend! Hours of entertainment!

We took my mom and dad's sooped up golf cart (aka- the buggy) for the weekend and of course the boys couldn't get enough of that. We took them fishing- okay Ryan took B fishing while I chased Corbin around and tried not to let him get too close to the water! The playgrounds were mostly too wet and full of water, but B rode his bike a lot and dribbled his baseketball (I'm quite sure the "neighbors" were NOT loving that, lol!). We ate too many smores and just relaxed.

It was the perfect way to spend our 6th anniversary :)

Labor Day

Our Labor Day weekend I spent sick Saturday and Sunday. That was a bummer, but by Monday the only symptom I had was a lingering headache and so we enjoyed the gorgeous fall weather all day. I decorated for fall and opened the windows. Such a nice day at home with my boys!

We are enjoying finally being able to use our porch! Ryan power washed it and we cleaned most of the "tools" off of it so we can finally use it- I've waited a long time for that! lol Now if he could get my swing hung up I'd be very content, lol!
Brycen riding 4wheelers.... this is his new one my parents bought him- they are nuts!
Dad thought his orange one was a little big for him yet and he was having trouble "handling" it (hanging off the side to turn) etc. Dad said Corbin would need one in a couple years anyway so he just went ahead and got it- oh dear me!
Anyway- Brycen loves it (and his other one is in the shop getting the brakes fixed so he hasn't had to go without- spoiled rotten).
Corbin on a 4wheeler even in a couple years is a scary thought to me- that boy can't walk with out hurting himself, lol! Plus he's a DAREDEVIL!

C watching Brother on the 4wheeler!
He loves getting rides from momma, but also loves to sit on it AND push it around the garage, lol!

Ryan was powerwashing things and C thought he should help w/ the broom :)

Bella Marie! She follows the boys everywhere- we love her!!!

I have to make him stop to get pictures of him- otherwise he's too busy riding 4wheelers or swinging from vines (and no I'm not kidding) :)

We have big huge tree vines and he seems to think he is Tarzan!

C learning to jump FINALLY! He has jumped OFF of things for awhile now, but could not just stand and jump up with out falling on his behind for the life of him! lol He finally got the hang of it!

Telling someone no no- look at the finger point :) lol

His signature face- crack.me.up!

Ryan calls it the cheerleader face and says I make it all the time and that is where he got it!

This is what he does when he is worn out- tries to climb in his crib and SCREAMS if you don't hurry and put him in there!

I'm loving life sooo much with this precious boys!

Weekend Fun

We started off our Friday evening by surprising the boys with a dog! They both LOVE dogs and Brycen has been begging for one. We have been telling him we had to wait until next summer b/c of all the mud and no grass, etc etc... He still asked pretty much every day about a dog. We have had a dog pretty much his entire life until his Izzie got hit right before we moved out of our last house. Anyway, this doggie's family sold their house and had to move and had no place for her. She is about a year a half. Half Lab/Half Husky, but def. more husky I think. She's outside, but is VERY well trained- she doesn't offer to jump on the boys (or anyone). She is soft and gentle with them, but still very playful and loves to play ball and run (which B loves!). A big woods and 2 sweet boys are the perfect home for her- she is the perfect fit for us! We are sooo in love!

Seeing daddy drive up with a doggie in his truck...

Brycen kept saying, "Where did it come from? Whose is it?"

He couldn't believe she was ours :)

Corbin laughs when Bella licks his face.

He will lay his head on her back and pat her and say, "Aw Yella, Aw Yella".

He stands at his window and hollers for her and knocks on the window until she comes to his window and then he says, "Yella, side" (Bella, outside).

Then he precedes to bring his shoes to us and scream if we aren't going outside! lol

We were in the basement working yesterday afternoon and we kept having to remind Corbin not to climb up the stairs. We left the basement french doors open so Bella could run in and out and be with us and she would run in and run up the stairs to the door that goes upstairs- Corbin would walk over to the bottom of the stairs and point and shake his chubby finger at her and say, "no no no yella!" lol!

Bella :)
She's so pretty.
Playing ball with Bella :)

Best Friends-

Brycen has already brushed her about 10 times (She sheds like crazy unfortunately).

She also thinks she is a lap dog. We sat down in lawn chairs outside and she jumped right up on our laps :) lol

Friday evening Brittany & Ricky and Chelsey & Ryan (and Kenzlie, Kayden, and Blake) came over to hang out. We had snacky foods (Chips and Dips, BBQ Weinees, Little sandwiches, and Brownies). We ate and just hung out while the kiddos played. Brycen was excited to have Kayden to play with outside-- but since they were outside pretty much the entire time (or in the basement making a hide out) I don't have any pictures of them.

Corbin and Kenzlie are at a great age- they are hilarious! They really play so well together!

They got in his crib and didn't want to get out (literally screamed and tried to climb back in!) lol.

Playing Peek A Boo with his blankie :)

They would just look at each other and laugh which cracked us up too!

Brycen finally got to bring his 4Wheeler to our house. It was still at my parents in storage. He was so excited.

We were impressed that a year really improved his riding skills!
(He is much too brave for my liking)

BUT He is at least focused on the task at hand now and has good control over it.

Boys and their toys!

We had a fun weekend and enjoyed the nice weather.

We were outside pretty much all weekend and it was wonderful even if we spent a lot of time working on house stuff!
