B's End of 1st Grade Fun!

The week we got home from vacation was the last full week of school for B- they had "spirit week" and a lot of fun activities that week.

 Monday was career day and B dressed up as a sheriff :)  We were able to borrow this from our old (now chief deputy) sheriff, Todd- his boys used to wear it when they were little.  B was so excited!  B thinks Todd is just "it" :)

 Tuesday was crazy sock day... we did one red and one orange baseball sock lol.  The 1st grade teachers also made ice cream for the 1st graders that day! YUM!

 Wednesday was dress like a teacher or principal day.  B wanted to dress up like Mr. King, the principal.  I thought he looked so handsome.  It was pig day... they got to learn about pigs/watch a pig movie. 

Thursday was mismatch day and so I let B pick out his "mis matches"... lol it was hard for me to send him to school like this, but he thought it was hilarious! It was also dog day and they got to learn about dogs/watch a dog movie/talk about their own dog and take a stuffed dog with them.

 Friday was Class color day- 1st grade was blue.  They also had field day outside that day!

Monday, the 21st was the First Grade field trip to French Lick.  We road the train, ate pizza for lunch and went to the movie theater.  It was an interesting bus ride with one little boy throwing up from Petersburg to Jasper before we had to stop and get him off the bus and wait for his mom to come pick him up!  I felt so bad for him!

It was actually a very relaxed day- they were so good and everything was scheduled very well!

I can't believe we're done with 1st grade and I have a 2nd grader on my hands!  He had such a great year and we were once again blessed with a great teacher that we both loved!  The year went so fast and he learned so much.  I'm sad my baby boy is growing up, but I'm happy that he loves school and is thriving- happy and healthy!
