Labor Day

Our Labor Day weekend I spent sick Saturday and Sunday. That was a bummer, but by Monday the only symptom I had was a lingering headache and so we enjoyed the gorgeous fall weather all day. I decorated for fall and opened the windows. Such a nice day at home with my boys!

We are enjoying finally being able to use our porch! Ryan power washed it and we cleaned most of the "tools" off of it so we can finally use it- I've waited a long time for that! lol Now if he could get my swing hung up I'd be very content, lol!
Brycen riding 4wheelers.... this is his new one my parents bought him- they are nuts!
Dad thought his orange one was a little big for him yet and he was having trouble "handling" it (hanging off the side to turn) etc. Dad said Corbin would need one in a couple years anyway so he just went ahead and got it- oh dear me!
Anyway- Brycen loves it (and his other one is in the shop getting the brakes fixed so he hasn't had to go without- spoiled rotten).
Corbin on a 4wheeler even in a couple years is a scary thought to me- that boy can't walk with out hurting himself, lol! Plus he's a DAREDEVIL!

C watching Brother on the 4wheeler!
He loves getting rides from momma, but also loves to sit on it AND push it around the garage, lol!

Ryan was powerwashing things and C thought he should help w/ the broom :)

Bella Marie! She follows the boys everywhere- we love her!!!

I have to make him stop to get pictures of him- otherwise he's too busy riding 4wheelers or swinging from vines (and no I'm not kidding) :)

We have big huge tree vines and he seems to think he is Tarzan!

C learning to jump FINALLY! He has jumped OFF of things for awhile now, but could not just stand and jump up with out falling on his behind for the life of him! lol He finally got the hang of it!

Telling someone no no- look at the finger point :) lol

His signature face- crack.me.up!

Ryan calls it the cheerleader face and says I make it all the time and that is where he got it!

This is what he does when he is worn out- tries to climb in his crib and SCREAMS if you don't hurry and put him in there!

I'm loving life sooo much with this precious boys!

Weekend Fun

We started off our Friday evening by surprising the boys with a dog! They both LOVE dogs and Brycen has been begging for one. We have been telling him we had to wait until next summer b/c of all the mud and no grass, etc etc... He still asked pretty much every day about a dog. We have had a dog pretty much his entire life until his Izzie got hit right before we moved out of our last house. Anyway, this doggie's family sold their house and had to move and had no place for her. She is about a year a half. Half Lab/Half Husky, but def. more husky I think. She's outside, but is VERY well trained- she doesn't offer to jump on the boys (or anyone). She is soft and gentle with them, but still very playful and loves to play ball and run (which B loves!). A big woods and 2 sweet boys are the perfect home for her- she is the perfect fit for us! We are sooo in love!

Seeing daddy drive up with a doggie in his truck...

Brycen kept saying, "Where did it come from? Whose is it?"

He couldn't believe she was ours :)

Corbin laughs when Bella licks his face.

He will lay his head on her back and pat her and say, "Aw Yella, Aw Yella".

He stands at his window and hollers for her and knocks on the window until she comes to his window and then he says, "Yella, side" (Bella, outside).

Then he precedes to bring his shoes to us and scream if we aren't going outside! lol

We were in the basement working yesterday afternoon and we kept having to remind Corbin not to climb up the stairs. We left the basement french doors open so Bella could run in and out and be with us and she would run in and run up the stairs to the door that goes upstairs- Corbin would walk over to the bottom of the stairs and point and shake his chubby finger at her and say, "no no no yella!" lol!

Bella :)
She's so pretty.
Playing ball with Bella :)

Best Friends-

Brycen has already brushed her about 10 times (She sheds like crazy unfortunately).

She also thinks she is a lap dog. We sat down in lawn chairs outside and she jumped right up on our laps :) lol

Friday evening Brittany & Ricky and Chelsey & Ryan (and Kenzlie, Kayden, and Blake) came over to hang out. We had snacky foods (Chips and Dips, BBQ Weinees, Little sandwiches, and Brownies). We ate and just hung out while the kiddos played. Brycen was excited to have Kayden to play with outside-- but since they were outside pretty much the entire time (or in the basement making a hide out) I don't have any pictures of them.

Corbin and Kenzlie are at a great age- they are hilarious! They really play so well together!

They got in his crib and didn't want to get out (literally screamed and tried to climb back in!) lol.

Playing Peek A Boo with his blankie :)

They would just look at each other and laugh which cracked us up too!

Brycen finally got to bring his 4Wheeler to our house. It was still at my parents in storage. He was so excited.

We were impressed that a year really improved his riding skills!
(He is much too brave for my liking)

BUT He is at least focused on the task at hand now and has good control over it.

Boys and their toys!

We had a fun weekend and enjoyed the nice weather.

We were outside pretty much all weekend and it was wonderful even if we spent a lot of time working on house stuff!

Phone Pics...

I had a bunch of pictures on my phone that I normally send to fb, but fb has been being a booger and not letting me upload them, so I thought I'd put them on here :) They are mainly blurry, but I want the memories saved. I've been kind of bad about taking pictures this month with my real camera.

Corbin playing at Prides Creek. Ryan and my dad were building a deck on my grandma's camper out there so we went out for a picnic supper one night and let the boys play and see daddy before bedtime since he had been working out there late every night.

B playing on the tire swing

Corbin is such a dare devil- he loved the big huge yellow curly enclosed slide... it would slide him down so fast he'd be twisted backwards when he came out, but he would squeal and go again. Brycen is such a great brother helping him up through the maze to get to the top and help him get positioned to slide down so I could stand at the bottom and "catch" him, lol!

He also thought climbing up the slide would be a good idea.

We went to Chadd and Shannon's one night for supper and to visit.

Here is Brycen and Kianna.

The drain came out of the big garden tub and all that water drained into the basement after I took a bath one night... what a mess!

I am SO thankful we don't have carpet down there yet and the area it went on was "outside" stuff anyway- like my porch swing and an old pool so nothing got damaged!
(and the problem is fixed!)

the boys :)

Yesterday we had someone come to work on our crazy "yard" and do the dirtwork- haul away big tree roots, etc. Corbin was soooo entertained all day by this! He would run from window to window to watch :)

This doesn't even do it justice and we still have lots of work to do, but this area used to be a bigggg hole of water with a thousand frogs in it b/c the stinking water wouldn't drain. We are getting the "yard tile" work done now and should be ready to finally plant grass as soon as Ryan gets everything tilled. Whoot Whoot!

We no longer have dirt piles anywhere in our yard either- Yay! You can actually walk outside and see the front of the house!

I never knew moving dirt would make me so happy!

1st Grade

Summer has flown by and school started today. It is Brycen's first day of 1st grade. I can't believe it! It seems like I was just walking him into kindergarten and now I walked him into first grade. Time goes too fast-a time freeze is needed! I didn't think I would cry this year, BUT on my way out I sure did! I know he is loving it though and will do well so I'm not worried about him- just worried about myself, lol!

He got Mrs. Vaughn for a teacher- another person I've known my whole life so I know we're in for another good year teacher wise! I am counting down the time until I can go pick him up! (1 hr and 45 min if you were wondering!) :)

He has a couple good friends in his class (Nolan and Kendrick) and a couple others he knows pretty well so I think that will make for another good year as well!

Brycen Hunter

First day of 1st Grade

I had to throw this picture in of Corbin just because he's cute :)

He was excited to go outside this morning before we left (to take B's picture) b/c he got to play with the kitty and make a mess with daddy's siding scraps (ryan will be thrilled, lol!)!

He was NOT happy to go inside to get ready to leave!

Nolan, Sam, and Brycen before school

Waiting to go to class

Brycen at his desk :)

Mrs. Vaughn decorated the room in a sports theme so Brycen thought that was "awesome" (his word)!

I can't wait to pick him up and hear all about his day (as much as I can drag out of him). I'm praying for another good year for our sweet boy!

18 Months

Corbin Fisher is 18 months old today! One and a half years?! My word! I can't believe it! 18 months seems like a big milestone and in the past couple weeks he does seem to have grown up A LOT!

He is still in size 4 diapers... mainly 18-24 mo. clothes. size 5- 5 1/2 on shoes (not sure on height/weight- we go next week for his check up).

He is veryyy independent and going up and down the stairs by himself (making me a nervous wreck) very well now. He is SUCH a climber... if he wants on something he finds a way. I found him IN the bathroom sink the other day! He is giving me lots of gray hair!

He is really starting to talk/ say a lot more words in the past few weeks! He is saying a couple three word phrases like "here ya go" (while handing us something) and "where is it?" (while shrugging his shoulders). He will repeat most of what we ask him to say. I was starting to track how many words he said last month and I think it was about 25... it has sky rocketed since then which makes me happy b/c I love hearing his sweet little voice. At times he doesn't say much and then other times he'll jabber on and on and on for two hours at a time! lol.

He knows and will point at his belly, tongue/mouth, eye, and feet. Sometimes he will do his nose, but will always point at my nose (Ryan says it is because it's big!) lol!

He will moo like a cow and bark like a dog. He also barks at our cat lol. He laughs every time I say an animal noise, but he won't make any others besides those two!

He points at EVERYTHING and says, "wat dat, wat dat, wat dat???" lol!

He lovesss to throw things away. If we give him something and say go throw it away he runs over to the cabinet and pulls out the trash and throws it away :) So far he hasn't thrown anything of importance away! haha!

He is big on brushing his teeth and loves to stand on the stool WITH B and brush his teeth. He's also really good about letting me brush them now.

His favorite toys are Brycen's imaginex dinosaur that roars very loudly and Brycen's little toy (matchbox?) cars. They line them up on the outside of my big tub and let them go lol.

He has a great appetite and will pretty much eat anything we give him. We know he is full when he starts spitting his food out. He is doing a great job at feeding himself. Last night I made pasta bake and he fed himself the whole bowl with a fork (he does better with a fork then a spoon). He also thinks he should climb out of his booster seat and be the centerpiece of the table. UGH!! That is a real challenge right now- keeping him off the table! He gets a cup of milk in the morning and a cup at night before bed and otherwise he is only drinking water. He drinks so much and I was only putting a tiny bit of juice in there, but I stopped and he doesn't seem to notice now. He can now reach the ice/water on the freezer so we have to make sure it's kept on lock- we have had more than few messes to clean up!

He loves to jump out and say BOO! Or chase people or be chased thro ugh the house. It's hilarious!

He has been soooo much happier since all his teeth are in. He never fails to make us laugh. We are so blessed and can't imagine life with out our crazy little man!

Fishin'

Brycen loves fishing... and Ryan's been SO busy with the house that they hadn't went one time this year- until yesterday! We went to church and came home and ate lunch and Brycen was about to jump out of his skin he was so excited to go! He told every.single.person. he talked to at church that he was going fishing. I think this fishing trip was quite a bit over due :)

We are thankful for the best fishin' spot in pike county to be right behind our house and to have access to it! Wonderful neighbors are such a blessing :)

B caught two fish and was super excited. I stayed home b/c Corbin was napping (and I got to read and it was quiet... wow, that different!) :) Anyway, I asked Ryan if B was patient and he said, "He was.... but man he's a talker" lol- I don't know where he gets that from?! :)

Jason Sturgeon Concert

Last night we attended the Jason Sturgeon concert at the fair. This is the 2nd year he has done the concert and it's so fun... he referred to it as being on the backporch playin' music and hanging out with your friends. That really is how it feels! He's our hometown boy and we're so proud of him and what he's doing with his music. If you like country music you should look him up :)

Brycen and Liv

We were so excited Liv came up and went we hadn't seen her since before vacation!

B and I.

Love him so much!

He is such a hoot!
He loves the music and being a cowboy.
He was dancing and having a blast!
Makes my heart smile.

Such a cowboy!

Jason

Lilyan dancing!
I love this girl!

Jason again :)

We were in the 4th row and you could feel the drums vibrating.

B said it made his heart go "beep beep" a lot louder :)

It was a late night and I'm exhausted today, but it's worth it for such a fun time with my sweet family :)
