I cannot believe Corbin will be 22 months (almost two?!) tomorrow. I haven't done an update on him for a few months. Time just slips away from me! This is mostly for me to remember my sweet boy and what is going on with him at this age so some details might seem boring to ya'll, but I want to remember them!
*He weighs right around 30lbs and is over almost 37 in. tall!
*Wearing 24 mo and 2T clothes (both fit pretty good- some 24 mo are too short- depends on brand). He wears a 6 or 6 1/2 shoe and still has insanely fat feet that are hard to fit in shoes!
*Sleeping in a big boy bed. We made this transition in November when he learned to crawl out of his crib. He has done sooo well. He is sleeping in a twin bed w/ a safety rail. We tried converting his crib to a toddler bed and he hated that. Thankfully the twin bed did the trick and we're all back to our normal sleeping habits.
*A great eater for the most part! It kills me that some days he'll want 3 helpings of something and two days later he'll spit that same thing out like it's poison. It makes meal planning a little tricky, but there are a few things he never refuses so if all else fails we feed him yogurt, cheese, bread, or mandarin oranges :) lol and I try to remember he isn't going to starve just because he refuses to eat much for lunch one day.
*He says a lot of different phrases/words-- he just doesn't say them nearly as frequently as B did at this age. So when he talks and things I didn't know he knew how to say come out I'm a little surprised sometimes! It's so sweet to hear him talk that I try to coax things out of him all the time. lol! He talks to Brycen more than anyone and it's hilarious. His favorite is to point at the "toy room" and stomp his foot and say, "Go pay bubba." (go play bubba). He ALWAYS wants his bubba to play with him. On Wednesdays while B is at school you'd think he'd be happy to have me to himself, but noooo he asks all day, "Where Bubba at?".
*Speaking of playing his favorites are still blocks and cars. B and I made home made play doh Sunday and we let Corbin play w/ some- he thought that was a blast (after he tried to eat it first of course, lol).
*He is doing really well with not touching the tree still. I finally put the presents under there yesterday. I was really worried that he would bother them. He didn't even seem to notice them (although, he knew they were there b/c he "helped" me put them under there) until right before bed time and he took a couple out and when I looked at him he hurried and stuffed them back under the tree, haha!
*He will FINALLY make all the animal noises. In fact it is one of his favorite books right now (the one that shows all the animals and lists their sounds). His other favorite book is Sheep In A Jeep :) -- his favorite page of course is , "Uh-Oh the Jeep Won't Go". He repeats that line w/ me every time! He loves to point out and name all of his body parts and all of everyone else's :)
*He warms up to men much quicker than to women. I account this for the fact that he is a daddy's boy. He loves his momma... until daddy gets home! He's a man's man that is FOR SURE. He gets up on the couch and lays back and holds the remote just like Ryan. You just have to laugh b/c it shows a true picture! haha! He's sooo rough and tumble. He always has bruises, cuts, knots, etc. He literally just runs straight into things and bounces off and keeps going. It cracks us up!
*In public or around crowds he seems to have a pretty laid back and calm attitude. HA! This is FAR from the truth... He is a CRAZYYY kid always into something and throws huge fits if he doesn't get his way. He gets the laid back in public part from his dad and the stubborn fit throwing from his momma (what can I say?) lol it sure isn't pretty!
*He can sure be a snuggle bug. He doesn't really like to be held all that much, but he will crawl up and lay beside me, B, or Ryan and snuggle for quite a long time. It's sooo sweet! I used to rush home and rush to start supper and rush rush rush to get everything done so I could sit down. I felt like it was hard to pay him attention and then he was fussy etc... so I've started fixing him a cup of milk when we get home and sitting on the couch and just snuggling for 10-15 min. before I start fixing supper and getting into the craziness of the night. It honestly has helped BOTH of our moods so much- Brycen usually needs this time to unwind and watch a little TV or just chill too. I'm so glad I discovered that we all needed this short amt. of time to make our night go so much smoother.
*He loves to give Bella (our dog) snacks. He will go to the laundry room above the desk area (where we keep the snacks) and say, "dogggg nack or bella" (Dog snack for Bella). When you get the container down you'd think he won the lottery, he dances and does a happy jig! It's so sweet. Bella's probably going to get fat from all the "nacks" she gets :)
*Speaking of dancing- this is a favorite of his too. B and him will turn on the radio or a cd in our room and dance away. Those two just crack me up! We need to video this ASAP.
I know there is more, but I have to stop somewhere. I could go on and on about the joy this boy brings our family every day. Our family isn't perfect, but we're perfectly in love with each other and we are so blessed <3

Thanksgiving 2011
I can't believe it's already been a week since Thanksgiving- it's December 1st at that... I don't know where the year has gone!
On Thanksgiving we got up and Ryan made us all breakfast while I got the boys and myself ready for the day. What a guy! I think he was sucking up b/c he had been hunting the past two weekends and was going that wk/end too (when he goes he goes to the cabin and stays all wk/end) soooo he was trying to suck up a bit :) haha!
We went to Ryan's parents house mid-morning and enjoyed snacking and chatting while the kids played. Sonya made ME a cheeseball ;) lol, well I guess she made it for everyone, but I think I ate most of it. YUM!
Miss Mya really loves Corbin- it's so sweet! They were playing "tea party". Corbin is kind of rough to play tea so it was funny.

this looks so dainty- it's right before he dropped it on the floor and broke it- whoops!
Can't believe my sweet boy is getting sooo big-- his big boy hair cut makes him look even older I think!
That is something I've tackled lately- cutting my boys (all three of them, Ryan included) hair!
I have some learning to do, but they all look okay and we're saving a ton of money! With three boys needing hair cuts once a month that got pretty pricey! Ryan has been telling me for years to just cut his myself, but I was too nervous. When Corbin became a monthly member of the hair cutting club though I realized I better learn fast :) Especially when Ryan said with what we were spending in hair cuts I could buy a new pair of shoes each month! Lol, I won't do that obviously, but it put things in perspective!
After lunch at his parents we went home and put up our main Christmas tree. Corbin napped the whole time so it was fun to see his face when we he woke up and there was a tree in our living room! lol. He kept saying "tree!!!" and jumping around like the crazy kiddo that he is!
We also put the Brycen's tree in his room. It's a tractor theme and Corbin won't leave it alone! He thinks the tractor ornaments are toys! haha! We put Corbin's up high on his dresser where he cannot reach it, but he doesn't seem too interested in it anyway- just B's tractor one! I'm afraid of what will happen when I put the presents under the big tree. Yikes!
We went to my parents for supper and dessert with my dad's side of the family- the Sims'. I say this every year, but that is my favorite get together. It just reminds me so much of my childhood and I'm glad my kids are having that same get together continued even though our great grandparents have passed away. We are so close with this side of the family and I always end up laughing so hard I'm in tears- that's the best feeling!
Kaydee Mae and Corbin playing :)
I love that these two are BFF like her daddy Todd and I were (and are!). :)
They are 4 months (to the day) apart and Todd and I are 4 months apart too!
These two have brought so much happiness to our family after a really dark period for all of us!
"the big kid" :)
all the babies love him and he's so good w/ them!
So proud of my boy!
and his smile can just light up a room!
My brother was home from college all week and I got to see him quite a bit actually.
So thankful for him!
He is a great Uncle to the boys and they just adore him!

Last Week
Last Monday we went to Jasper to Brittany and Ricky's (Chelsey, Ryan, and baby Blake came too). We had "Friendsgiving". Since the Holidays are so busy we knew we better plan a get together or we wouldn't be seeing our friends for awhile so we had an early Thanksgiving feast- it was so yummy and we enjoyed chatting and playing w/ all the kiddos. I got ONE picture all night (after it stopped downpouring b/c my camera was in the van). The other two girls got some cute ones of the kiddos so I'm waiting on them to send them to me!

My dad got a buck and of course we had to go see it :)
Ryan was working late so the boys and I went and then had supper at the BBQ place in town w/ my parents. Yay for a no cooking night for me!
Last week was American Education Week. They had a theme for each day. Monday was scarf day and Brycen said scarves are for girls and there isn't any way he was wearing one :) lol!
Friday was Tropical Day.
It was hard to get in a "tropical" mood when it was 31 degrees when we got up!
And another picture of Corbin Fisher just b/c he's so cute and I can't resist him :)
B and Ryan H. have always been big buddies- looks like Corbin is following suit :)
I can't get over how big my "baby" is getting!

Tuesday was Mulitcultural day and B and his friends had no idea what to wear so they all just wore camo (look at previous posts of him in camo and you can see what he looked like) lol! I skipped taking pictures.
Wednesday- now that was the day Brycen was excited about-
He is such a cowboy.
He said he wished every day was western day so he could dress like this each day and wear his hat! haha!
I'm for certain he is the cutest cowboy EVER!
I thought he looked sooo handsome in this sweater.
Wish he'd let me dress him up a little more often!

I can't get over how old he is looking these days... it just seems surreal.

Friday the boys and I went to Evansville- my mom went with us and we had supper w/ my brother. That was nice! We did a little shopping and got B a new pair of boots (his were literally falling apart!). We always get our money worth out of boots!
Friday evening I noticed Corbin had a runny nose and his cheeks were flushed. He didn't feel warm or anything though. Brycen had also started coughing a ton AGAIN.
By Saturday morning it was official they both had SOMETHING.
Ryan was at the cabin hunting again this weekend so the boys and I did a lot of nose blowing/breathing treatments/and cuddling.
By yesterday I had whatever it was (I'm thinking a bad cold).
Miserable... Ryan came home and I let him take over the sick kid duties like snot sucking and I rested.
The boys were less snotty this morning so hopefully they are on the mend.
Hopefully tomorrow I'll be better- I need a nap already today!
I only work today and tomorrow this week so I'm excited about that!

Living Up to His Name
My "baby" is all grown up... he thinks he is a man now! lol. That's because on Sunday evening he got to go hunting w/ daddy for the very first time. He was so excited- it is all he could talk about. If you know B you know he is a talker (have no idea where he gets that, lol) so we were (read here- Ryan) concerned it might not go so hot. They went out in our woods for the first time to see how he did and "practice" lol. Turns out he did great and they were out there for about three hours! He said he would of liked to spend the night in the woods, but he had to pee :) haha! He said, "Well, I've got the hunting bug now!". Too cute! I'm glad it lived up to his expectations- even though they only seen one deer and didn't even get to shoot at it. He used to cry and cry and cry when Ryan would leave for the wk/end to go to the cabin- now momma's going to be the one crying b/c our fun wk/ends alone together are going to come to a halt when Daddy lets him go to the cabin to hunt! At least I have Corbin at home for a few more years hopefully! I keep telling Ryan we need another one (a girl this time) so I'll have someone to hang out with while all my men are off hunting!
My Cowboys :)
He looked adorable and it was funny when he first put them on to watch him walk in them.
I still remember B wearing these boots for the first time (at about the same age). :( Time goes so fast!
Corbin always is putting on Brycen's, Ryan's, and my boots and tripping everywhere around the house. His finally fit so Yay!

Bubble Boys
Last night we had a lazy evening at home for a Monday. We had breakfast for supper and I let the boys play in the big tub with lots of bubbles for a lot longer than normal :) . Too bad every evening can't be that relaxed!

Corbin thought it was great fun to spray the water all over everything!
Pumpkin Contest- Sheep In A Jeep
B has always loved the book "Sheep In A Jeep"- now that he can read he loves reading it to Corbin and they both crack up laughing. They were having a pumpkin decorating contest at school- the pumpkin was supposed to be based off of your favorite book character. B decided he wanted to do a Sheep (last year he did Horton from Horton Hears a Hoo). He did it all himself with just a little assistance from momma on the ears. (that stick in the center was his number from the contest). He won 2nd place out of the whole school! He was sooo proud!
