No, No, I'm not expecting again! Lol- Kelly over at Kelly's Korner is doing Show Us Your Life as always on Fridays and this week I thought I would participate once again. It's tell us your kids names and how you picked them (or your future kids if you already have names picked out!).
Ryan and I talked baby names before there was ever a baby on the horizon! We (okay, mainly me, but we did discuss it!) wrote down the names we loved on a 3x5 index card and I always kept it in my planner! (yes, it is still in there!).
B's name (Brycen Hunter)- I saw the name Brycen in our church bulletin (when I went to Antioch with my parents) in high school (a few years before B was born). I LOVED the name and always said I would name my little boy that- Ryan and I def. agreed on this name. -- funny story is that now we know the Brycen that I stole the name from! I wouldn't of picked it if I knew someone closely with that name... now my parents are best friends with the other Brycen's grandparents (Brycen Graber). Sooo I'm glad we didn't know them at the time or I wouldn't have my favorite name ever for my first born! I like the name b/c it's different, but not so different that it is weird. I hope he doesn't want to shorten it to Bryce when he is older, but that's why we spelled it Brycen instead of Bryson- so it would be easier to shorten if he did choose to do so.
His middle name Hunter... well I always loved the name Hunter. My best guy friend since 6th grade has been Hunter. (no he is not named after him (although he would like to think so!) I just liked the name). Ryan is an avid hunter so it fits well and he liked it too!
A's name (Andon Joseph Richard)- Umm... lol- his name was a source of contention between Ryan and I while I was pregnant. We saw the name Andon on a reality show and LOVED it! The kicker was that it was the reality show Paradise Island... and I don't know if any of you have seen it, but it's trashy! I didn't want to think of that trashy show every time I said my baby's name! But Ryan was determined and said he didn't like any other name. I finally agreed on it and came to love it! It's the same as Brycen b/c it's not common, but not weird either!
Joseph- named after my brother :)
Richard- named after my Papaw :)
We debated on the middle name and didn't decide for sure until he was already born. I am so glad now that we went with these names. My Papaw passed away about 2 and 1/2 months after Andon went to Heaven- it just seems fitting that their names are together when I speak of A :) My papaw was one of my favorite people ever!
C's name (Corbin Fisher)- His name came together the easiest I think really... I have no idea where we saw or heard the name Corbin... I really don't know how we decided on this name. The biblical meaning (which I shared on here before) really sealed the deal though. It originates from "black bird"- a black bird is what God sent out to see if the rain had receded after the flood. He did as he promised and so it means "God is Good"... After our flood (Andon going to Heaven)- God blessed us with another little boy- how appropriate that his name means "God is Good". (even though God still would of been good if he chose not to bless us with another baby!). I'm sooo glad he did!
Fisher- One night we were laying in bed and talking about middle names and I joked around and said, "Well we have a Brycen Hunter, we could have a Corbin Fisherman, hahahah". Ryan was like, "Heyy, Corbin Fisher- I like that!"... and so that became his name! Ryan loves to fish and I think it's funny that what started out as a really lame joke turned into his really cute (well I think so) name! I'm sure if people hear us say "Brycen Hunter and Corbin Fisher" together they think we are really big hicks! haha!
Girls names- obviously we've never had a girl, but each time we had girls names picked out "in case". Brycen would of been Kenley Grace. Andon would of been Brynnan Grace. And Corbin would of been Hadley Grace. (Can you tell we like the middle name Grace?!) :)
I know other people who like to talk baby names too- go link up at Kelly's :)

thanks for sharing your cute stories, chelsa! i'd better think of something cute so that when theo asks i won't be embarrassed to say that his dad just really loved the "cosby show" growing up! (no that isn't the real story, haha)
i thought naming my son was one of the hardest things in the world though. i spent many a sleepless, pregnant night going over my lists!
I have always loved the name Hadley! Was neat to hear where you came up with your kiddos names. Love the meaning of Corbin's name:)
Oh yes, we love the name game! Funny that I already knew most of what you posted! ;) Let's plan a Wednesday play date sometime soon...and stop by sometime when you're at the in-laws! :)
