Day 8: Beach, Shopping, Pizza, and Car Show

Day 8- We got up and got ready to go to the little beach on Lake Havasu. We didn't end up staying too long because it was scorching on the beach! The water was freezing, but ended up feeling good because it was so hot outside!

This is how Corbin puts his hand when he wants to pick something up or wants you to give him something- usually they are squeezed closer together and it's just the cutest :)

After we went back to the house we got cleaned up and left to go get lunch. As we were leaving I noticed Corbin's left middle finger was VERY swollen and hot. You could see where he had been bitten by something. We got lunch at Arby's and his finger kept getting worse (it was turning purple!). We decided we better take him to the quick care clinic and get it checked out.

Although, that wasn't what we wanted to be doing on vacation we didn't want to take any chances. They were SOOO friendly there and we were in and out in less than 45 minutes! They came to the conclusion that it was sand bugs (I'd never heard of such thing) since we had been to the beach that morning. They did start him on another round of antibiotics because he finger had fever in it. It took it around 3 days to finally look normal again! You could tell it was itching him because he kept grabbing at it.

After we left there we went to the outdoor mall and did a little shopping.

I have to brag about the amazing deal I got at JC Penny's. I had been searching for bar stools for the island in the kitchen since way before we ever moved in. I couldn't find any that I wanted that didn't cost a fortune... I'm just against spending 1000.00 on four bar stools- it seemed outrageous, but everything I found that I liked would of come to right around that! Yikes!

I found some that were cheaper that were "okay" and I was going to order them when we got back because I figured I wasn't going to find what I wanted in the price range I wanted.

Well, low and behold we walked into Penny's and I joked and said, "we could get bar stools here" as we walked by- well there were some that were seventy percent off- and they were JUST WHAT I WANTED!!!! Yay! Talk about being an excited girl... Plus, they only charged us TWENTY dollars to ship all four back to Indiana! We got all four bar stools, plus tax (theirs is 8.85) and shipping for just a little over what one of the bar stools were of originally cost! I was pretty pumped!

Anyway after shopping we went to eat pizza for supper and then went up town for a car show they have every Thursday. We also got ice cream at a place called SCOOPS! Too funny! Their ice cream wasn't nearly as good as our Scoops in Washington though!
