Well, our exciting Monday just kept getting more exciting (if you want to call it that). While we were in Evansville B was not the well behaved child that he normally is while we are out in public... I didn't know what his deal was! We got home and he was coughing a bunch, but he had been having asthma stuff for about a week so I didn't think much about it. He did feel a little warm though so I took his temp. it was 99.4. I thought I better call the dr. and get an appt. since his asthma turns into other stuff about 2-3 times a year... and with the fall weather... well I just figured I better call and get an appt. even though I was dreading a trip to a dr's office where sick people would be. As the evening wore on he just kept getting worse and his breathing treatments weren't helping him to breathe better even for a few minutes... Normally, with his asthma it doesn't bother me (besides feeling bad for him) because I've dealt with having it my whole life... so I don't freak out like Ryan does... but I was really starting to worry when the treatments weren't helping at all... and his temp was up in just an hour from when I had taken it to almost 100. With all the flu stuff going around we figured we better take him to the ER he seemed to be getting worse fairly quickly and we just didn't want to take any chances with his lungs already being compromised from his asthma. We got to the ER and I about freaked about and came home because there were a ton of people and I didn't want either of us catching something else... We sat in a hallway by ourselves though, I was not sitting in there with those people puking and hacking everywhere. Call me paranoid if you want, but I have two babies to take care of :) We finally got called back (there was a trauma patient that came in right after we got there so it took forever) and the admitting nurse said it was a good thing we brought him in because his respirations were up and his O2 was down to 90 :( Poor guy! We got to have Ryan's cousin Darla as his nurse and we were very thankful for that and then the ER dr. great, we really liked him. They gave him a steroid breathing treatment right away. He went from being almost lifeless to bouncing off the walls. He literally couldn't quit talking and moving. They swabbed his nose to test for flu and also did a chest x-ray. The Dr. came in to tell us the flu swab came by negative, we were very relieved... BUT he has pneumonia. We weren't expecting that one. He said he could admit him or if we were comfortable with doing breathing treatments we could go home... we thought he would do better at home and have less chance of catching something else so we made that decision. Each time he got up though his O2 dipped down to 90 so NO physical activity for Brycen... He got a big shot in his leg and didn't even cry! We were so proud of him! He kept saying, "I got shot by my very own cousin!" lol, it was cute. We had to go fill his oral antibiotic prescription b/c they wanted him to start that that night as well. We didn't get home til 1:30am. We were all exhausted. Brycen fell asleep on the way home thankfully, but we had to wake him when we got home to take his medicine. He woke every hour all night coughing. Ryan still went to work yesterday (but not as early as normal). B and I watched cartoons and read books all day. Oh yah, and did breathing treatments! lol, those are on our schedule for every 3 hours, yesterday he could barely stretch it the 3 hours. His temp was back up to 99.6 yesterday evening and his breathing was terrible again... he fell asleep and when he woke up it was a little better... I know his little body is exhausted, but everytime he goes to sleep he wakes himself up coughing. Last night was much better, he was only up 3 times instead of every hour. This morning though he has diarrhea. I think it's from his medicine though. He still had a temp this morning 99.0, but I didn't give him tyelnol last night. I'm hoping his fever will break today... I just feel terrible for him! Oh and we took his bandaid off from his shot and his leg is all broke out around it now so he is itching that! Poor guy can't catch a break. We are watching PBS Kids and hanging out right now. (he loves Sid the Science Kid, B is really into science). We're lounging in our sweats and trying to get him healthy today!
This is this morning. He looks a lot better than he did yesterday.
His new breathing mask they gave him at the hospital, it has a dinosaur on it :)
My cabinet doors were supposed to go back up yesterday, but the dumb hinge people didn't send the hinges with the knobs... Ryan was quite irate because when he called he asked if they were in stock and they said yes and then on the order paper it said "backordered".... I wasn't there, but I have a feeling those people got quite the chewing out yesterday from him when he called. Our carpet is being installed today though! And Ryan just called me and he went ahead and ordered the hinges from a different place and they should deliver them to the shop tomorrow. I hope so, I'd love to get everything back in my cabinets!

AW he looks so pitiful in the pictures!! Poor little guy. Hope he gets feeling better soon for his sake and mama's sake! ;-)
I hope Brycen gets to feeling better. We usually have trouble with Kelsye and allergies. The 1st year she was born was horrible. We have a breathing machine as well, and those things are lifesavers. Can't wait to see pics of the carpet/cabinets!
awww, makes me cry! I'll be praying B gets better soon :)
Praying Brycen is feeling better soon! Poor thing! Hope your cabinets are completed soon too!! Your belly is adorable as ever! ;)

Will be praying for your little man! The diarrhea is definately anitboitics...if it continues consider Culturelle for Kids, it can help!!
Poor dude! Glad no flu though. Its tough this year. Keep taking care of both those babes. YOu're a good mom!
PS Give him yogurt for diarrhea. It will help restore his natural bacteria in his belly :)
Hope he gets feeling better soon. It's so hard to see your kids sick and its hard on the mommies and daddies as well. I am dreading the cold and flu season. Take care and make sure you get some rest too.
Poor baby! It's so hard to see your little one not feeling well. Good call on getting him home though I think! Probably made both of you feel better.
While you're taking care of B make sure someone's taking care of you, too!! :-)
