Crafting Bug

Okay, so Courtney's crafting bug caught up with me :) I kept thinking how cute her stuff looked, but didn't think I was crafty enough to do it... then I was looking at a blog (not even sure which one) and I came acorss a link for THIS-- a Christmas Ornament Wreath!

Now, I realize I might very well be the last person in blog land to find out about these pretty lil' things, but that's okay. I came across it, thought it was gorgeous, read the tutorial, and thought it sounded pretty easy... but ya know being easy for a crafty person and being easy for me are two different things, haha! I did want to try to make one though. Our bank has little trees that are made of Christmas ornaments and I've always LOVED them so a wreath of them was right up my ally (alley?).

So, these weren't the colors I had in mind for the wreath, but it's all that Petersburg (remember, no WalMart for me?! haha!) had at Pamida. And I picked them up last night so I didn't have much choice. I figured if it turned out I'd give to my momma for her birthday (which is Sunday) and if not I'd throw it away and cry ;) haha! j/k on the crying part.

So tonight Ryan was working at the house, Corbin went to bed and B and I made this! He really did help me and we had fun :) I am not happy w/ the ribbon and I know it can be better, but for my first one I was pretty happy with how it turned out! So happy that I took it to my parent's at 9:00pm to give my mom an early birthday present :) hehe! She liked it- or at least she said she did!

Soooo now I better make a trip to Wal-Mart so I can make myself one :)

I have a few other "projects" up my sleeve- hopefully they turn out too! :)
