Weekend Fun

I never seem to be able to figure out how the weekends go so quick! Friday evening we went to Mi Pueblo and met Ryan's parents and Sonya and her family to eat for Marilyn's birthday. I never get tired of going there to eat! It was a nice evening and we beat the crowd so that was even better!

On our way home we dropped B off at my parents to spend the night. My brother was home from school and B was so excited and wanted to stay there to be with him.

Now, let me tell you, I RARELY let him spend the night anywhere... (just ask my mom and mother in law, I'm sure they get annoyed w/ Ryan and I both, but we love having him home w/ us and we miss him during the week while we work so we rarely let him stay somewhere unless it's needed)... So this was hard for me to let him stay, but it was 8 by the time we dropped him off anyway I guess... We got home and I just miss him so much... Ryan and I watched a few shows and hung out and it was just too quiet!



Yesterday morning we got up and my mom and B and my grandma came over bright and early so we could get started on painting the entry, kitchen, and hall way. We did get those done... after I had a slight meltdown and decided I hated the first color and we had to go buy different paint. I have to say I do love the second color I got though! After we were done w/ our part of the paint job and Ryan was going to work on more trim my mom, B, and I snuck away to go to a craft show in Jasper. It wasn't near as big as I remember it being in the past, but we did pick up a few things... I've been wanting a cute growth chart for B, but could never find one to match his room. We found one that's a John Deere Tractor! Perfect.
When we got home we had a few things to do and then had to get ready to go eat. We went to Vincennes to Montana Mikes to eat w/ my brother. I miss him so much while he is at school. This is only the 3rd time we've seen him since August so it was nice to visit.
When we got home and we just hung out for awhile and rested.

can you see anything different? this is one thing ryan worked on while we were gone on Saturday... it's standing in the entry way looking through the kitchen into the dining room.... if you've been to my house or seen enough pictures you should be able to tell something different! it looks so weird! we weren't sure we were going to do this, but ryan made more work for himself :) it will look really good when it is done though!


Today I have had a headache all day :( BOO. We went and had supper at my parents before my brother had to leave to go back to school. We were only there for like an hour. Currently, I'm sitting here getting kicked by little Corbin. He has been pretty feisty this weekend! :) I think he likes all the sugar I've been eating (I made Cinnamon Rolls this morning). We are also watching America's Funniest Home Video's... I remember watching this with my family when I was little. B loves it and laughs hysterically. I'm not sure which is funnier for me, the show, or listening to his big boy laugh! Ryan is worn out from all the work he has been doing the past few weeks. I know he will be glad when all this is done... I told him I would get him an "easy" button for Christmas :) haha.
